The launch of EQUIS re certification work and the first training meeting of the School of Economics and Management were successfully held

On the afternoon of October 11, 2022, the launch of EQUIS re-certification and the first training meeting of the School of Economics and Management were held in Conference Room 306 of the East Building of Siyuan. The Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Shi Xianliang, mobilized for re-certification, with Professor Howard Davies, an international certification consultant, providing recertification training, and Vice Dean Shang Xiaopu presiding over the meeting.

More than 40 administrative representatives of the entire faculty, including Liu Yingqi, Director of the Department of Enterprise Management, Li Hongchang, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Economics, Fu Shaochuan, Director of the Engineering Master's Center, Qiu Qi, Director of the MBA Center, Wang Chao, Director of the EDP Center, Wang Ying, Director of the College Office, and the responsible teacher of the International Certification Office, attended the conference through online or offline means.

Dean Shi Xianliang pointed out that international certification is a continuous investment. After passing the first certification, there was still much work to be done to continuously improve and close the gaps. He hoped that all departments would assign high priority to it and take responsibility for improving international certification. He believed that through the continuous efforts of all faculty and students, the college's internationalization level would be raised, the foundation of international certification would be strengthened, and the college's career development would also make new breakthroughs. Dean Shi Xianliang also expressed gratitude to the faculty and staff of the college for their long-term efforts in international certification work.

During the training session, Professor Howard Davies systematically analyzed the feedback from the school's EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA&BGA-certified experts and proposed relevant improvement suggestions. The heads of various departments of the college stated that they have fully understood the differences between relevant work and certification standards through this meeting, and will actively welcome the arrival of re-certification with practical actions.
