On November 10, 2022, the "10th Tencent Business School Development Forum", hosted by Tencent News, was held in Beijing. The forum focused on the theme of "Innovation and Openness", and jointly explore the innovation and openness of China's business education in the new era through a combination of online and offline methods. Shi Xianliang, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Beijing Jiaotong University, was invited to attend the forum and give a keynote speech. Qiu Xiaodong, Vice Dean, attended the dialogue benchmark university interview session of the forum, and Zhang Lei, Director of the Professional Degree Education and Teaching Sharing Center, also participated in the forum activity. Wu Yingce, Director of the Career Development Department of the China Association of Higher Education, delivered an opening speech for this forum. He stated that standing at a new historical starting point, China's higher education is also facing new challenges, and the digital economy era has put forward new requirements for talent cultivation in higher education.In this context, it is necessary to implement the fundamental task of moral education and improve the coordination teaching system. Shi Xianliang delivered a keynote speech titled "Characteristic Business Education for the Big Transportation and Logistics Industry in the Era of Digital Intelligence". He delivered a wonderful speech from four aspects, namely the characteristics of the digital intelligence era, the important position of the big transportation and logistics industry, the characteristics of business education based on professional advantages, and the cultivation of MBA talents with the characteristics of smart transportation and logistics in Beijing Jiaotong University. Dean Shi pointed out that transportation has become a pioneer in promoting China's modernization, especially since the establishment of the People's Republic of China. Several generations have crossed mountains and built bridges when facing water, building a transportation power and accelerating the realization of the strategic goal of building a transportation power. To this end, Beijing Jiaotong University focuses on leveraging its disciplinary advantages, using transportation and modern logistics as carriers to radiate and cover the development of related industries. In the future, Beijing Jiaotong University will further strengthen its own characteristics and promote the cross integration of emerging disciplines, striving to become a business school that leads China's industrial development.
