Five Faculties in BJTU was Selected as the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier in 2016

Recently, five faculties in Beijing Jiaotong University were selected as the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier (a world leading publishing company) in its list published in 2016. Among them, Associate professor Xia Meimei from School of Economics and Management was selected into the list in the field of decision science.

 

There are 1,776 scholars from 38 different subject areas, as well as 227 colleges and universities in the list of the Most Cited Chinese Researchers 2016. Most Cited Researchers refers to the first or corresponding authors of the papers which rank the top in mainland China in terms of citations. Being selected in the list means that the scholar has a great impact on the world scientific community and his/her research contributes greatly to the relevant research fields.

 

Adopting the selection criteria provided by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, the list draws from the analyses of Chinese researchers influence on the world, which are based on Elseviers Scopus research database. Scopus is the largest peer-reviewed abstract and citation database of academic papers. It provides a large amount of data related to scientific research, authors and research institutions, making it possible to scientifically analyze and evaluate Chinese scholars influence on the world.
